CWDM | DWDM
CWDM | DWDM
While the two types of wavelength division multiplexing —CWDM and DWDM — are effective methods to solve increasing bandwidth capacity needs, they are designed to tackle different network challenges.
Our CWDM system commonly supports eight wavelengths per fibre. It is designed for short-range communications, using wide-range frequencies with wavelengths spread far apart – while the DWDM uses tighter wavelength spacing to fit more channels onto a single fibre.
At SFPWorx, we have access to specialized optics and mixes from SmartOptics, as well as our 3rd party options:
CWDM SFP, SFP+
DWDM SFP, SFP+
